Our Story

A town that chose its own character, and a chamber that helped build it.

Davis has never been an ordinary town. It is a place where a university and a downtown grew up together, where the bike came before the car, and where farm-to-fork was a way of life long before it was a phrase. None of that happened by accident. It was chosen, business by business, neighbor by neighbor.

The Davis Chamber of Commerce has been part of that choice since 1905. We are the room where a new owner meets a longtime one, the voice that carries local business to City Hall, and the hands behind the festivals that bring the whole town to the park.

“A chamber is not a building or a directory. It is a promise that no business in Davis has to do it alone.”

Today that promise looks like advocacy, connection, visibility, and investment back into the community. The same work, carried forward by a new generation of Davis businesses.

What We Do

Four ways the Chamber works for Davis business.

01

Advocacy

We carry the concerns of local business to the City of Davis, Yolo County, and the region, so the people who create jobs here have a seat at the table.

02

Connection

Ribbon cuttings, mixers, and member gatherings that turn a town full of businesses into a community of people who know each other.

03

Visibility

A member directory, referrals, and a marketing platform that help Davis residents find, trust, and choose local businesses first.

04

Community

Celebrate Davis, scholarships, and small business grants that send the Chamber's work back out into the town that makes it possible.
